HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT RING

In your daily routine!

Well, you've got that lovely new engagement ring adorning your finger. You're in the habit of putting it on every day and have become quite accustomed to wearing it. Then, you go to work, and maybe after that you decide to go for a run or hit the gym, only to realize it's still snugly on your finger. It makes you wonder, can you actually work out while wearing rings? Do other folks exercise with their wedding rings on?

Are you a runner? Remember that if your ring it's slightly oversized, it may easily slip off your finger when it becomes sweaty.

How about Yoga? Well, bulkier engagement rings can disrupt your equilibrium when you place your hands on the mat, and in some advanced yoga postures, even a more petite ring could unbalance you!

Attention Swimmers! Chlorine used to keep the water clean may cause precious metals to dull, and even can dull diamonds or other precious gems. Also remember than our fingers tend to shrink in the water so there´s also a risk your ring could come off!

At the GYM: Avoid lifting with a wedding ring altogether! Your grip puts your ring in danger. Some metals can bend and scratch when you're lifting.

At Work: Of course, it will depend on what type of activity you do. If you have a more physical job that involves lifting things all day such as construction work, dishwashing, landscaping, or welding, you better take your rings off.

If you work with disposable gloves, such as nurses or tattoo artists, the friction from the stone is likely to eventually cause them to tear.
